Powered by NVIDIA GPUs, ProHawk Vision can quickly fix low-quality video in as little as 3 milliseconds, resulting in output that is undetectable to the human eye. The ProHawk Vision Restoration Plugin automatically analyzes every frame of the video, identifies the real-world conditions caused by low light, weather, particulate matter, and lighting affecting each frame, and applies the appropriate controls to the ProHawk Vision Restoration algorithms to restore the frame and reverse any degradation. The mathematical model used for each pixel is based on quantitative measurements, enabling the ProHawk Vision Restoration Plugin to eliminate the environmental effects captured by the video sensors.
The ProHawk Vision Restoration Plugin uses patented ProHawk Vision algorithms that have been integrated into an NVIDIA DeepStream plugin, allowing for smooth integration into NVIDIA Metropolis video processing pipelines. This approach enables the ProHawk Vision Restoration algorithms to be incorporated into the pipeline right after the muxing stage, but before the primary inference detector. By utilizing ProHawk Vision’s pre-processing capabilities, NVIDIA Metropolis-based applications can achieve higher accuracy in AI confidence, recognition, detection, and tracking without the need for retraining the system.
The ProHawk Vision Restoration Plugin has gone through the validation process in the NVIDIA Metropolis lab, demonstrating its compatibility with a wide range of NVIDIA GPU platforms, including RTX, T4, A2, A30 and AWS T4. In addition, the plugin works on the NVIDIA Jetson embedded product line, which includes several models, such as the Jetson TX2, Jetson AGX Xavier, and Jetson Orin family.
